    Ok - it’s probably simple - but I’m new to the backend - for some reason my site quite working and shows the following (plus a lot more)- I have checked all the permissions.

    In that file, do you see an opening PHP tag?

    eg:

    <?php

    ... rest of file

    If not:

    Have you done anything with .htaccess recently?  I’d also check with the host to make sure nothing has been recently done with php, eg taking it from an apache module to CGI.

    PS:  Welcome to the forums!!  😊

    okay.

    In order to rule out if this is an EE issue or server php parsing issue, can you please make a file called “test.php” with the following contents:

    <?php

    echo "hey, is PHP working for me?!?";

    ?>

    and upload it to your server.

    When you visit that page, do you see all the code or just the text?

    Can you get to your control panel?

    Do you know what version and build you are running?

    okay…

    here’s what I’d suggest.  I know you are on the most recent version/build, however I think you should backup your site and MySQL database and update as per the instructions in the docs.  Verify permissions, etc.

    Can you give that a try & report back?
