I’ve got limited server storage capacity, so that’s why I am asking.  I would like the attachments to be deleted from the server when a post is deleted.

    thanks

Entries don’t have attachments.  Are you talking about forum posts?  Private messages?

In the weblog entries, there’s a file upload feature. That’s what I’m referring to because I’m allowing members to use the saef form to upload attachments.

There’s no association between uploaded files and entries, so no, the uploaded files are not deleted when a particular entry is deleted.  The uploaded file might be used in multiple custom fields for multiple entries, or even none at all, and used in the template, CSS, etc.
