did you ever feel that way? How many millions of dollars did you let slip out of your hands cause you did not have a brain?  just imagine this programming a web app and selling it to the city or something for like millions of dollars. Possible yes practical yes plausible no cause I don’t have a brain

companies are spending hundred of thousands of dollars a month on consultant fee’s to implement software. They pay millions for licenses to use that software. Now if I only had a brain I would reinvent that software make it better and sell it to those companies for like half that if I only had a brain. It’s just that simple.

Feel free to expand on this topic if I or you only had a brain what would you or I do? so basically if I had a brain I would make a web app and sell it to the city for like millions

Interesting you mentioned the whole city thing.  Just today I was having to search around for my local courthouses phone# to pay a ticket and I noticed how incredibly un-usable the cities web infrastructure was.  I had this wild daydream of redoing their website(s) with CI and making it all streamlined and usable - and then I would be held to high acclaim and I would never have to pay a ticket again ... but then I woke up and realized that my city actually prefers to pay inflated consultant fees only to have them install a MS app and hire some overseas programmer to create a complex and cumbersome system.  Oh well ... If they would just give me ticket immunity for life and a season pass to the chamber orchestra I’d do it for free.

I am doing this for a property management app I will market to local estate agents. I’m doing what other’s are doing, except I have an in-depth search feature, and everything is really easy to add/update, plus it’ll be cheaper.

Hey Adam, free not always means popular, cheaper not always means popular or better…is yours better and cheaper? What cheap means? Real estate is a good market… 😊

Mine has a much deeper search method, allowing you to search for specific properties, not just properties by town and number of bedrooms and a maximum price.

I’m selling it cheaper than other software solutions as so arouse interest and get some sales.

Webb I downloaded Webber from drsoft cool application

it’s like expression engine lite only though instead of the blog being free you get the e-Commerce module for free but you have to pay for the blog module it’s kinda like the reverse of ee lite

so you make 29 dollars for the blog but the e-Commerce is free nice I can see people using that. Nice work Webb!

Webb if you are out there I have one more question and then I am done?

You have built a wonderful application with CodeIgniter and your making money with the CI. How in the hell did you build webber with ci

You should do a series and build it with webber and charge like how many dollars you WEBB think a chapter for us CI users Should be. So we Can see how the Dr does it.

Thanks I am going to read your code and study it I hope I learn something.

Sally, unfortunately I don’t understand your questions 😛

How in the hell did you build webber with ci

    Like any programmer would do..Why?

You should do a series and build it with webber and charge like how many dollars you WEBB think a chapter for us CI users Should be

What do you mean by “series”?

    Mandilodisan,

I agree with Sally your Webber tool looks like EE lite. I think it could have a great market. I’ve been using EE since it came out. I’m also a veteran Pmachine pro user. I can see people using your base tool with static sites, their own CI CMS, Textpattern, or with EE Core since it doesn’t offer membership features (for personal, non-profit sites of course…don’t want to violate ee license).

I’ve haven’t downloaded webber yet, but will today and provide some feedback - if you don’t mind.

No problem at all. We’re still collecting feedback for this project and we will surely appreciate your input (good or bad).

Webb what I mean about a series is this.

remember like when before the word weblog then some body coined that word and it became a fad. Well you can do the same thing with the word webber

to webber something means to sell a web page or some form of digital none tangible merchandise. If I were you I would go to Urbandictionary.com and patent that word and make it yours.

so I like codeigniter and you Webb seem to know how to build codeigniter software you can make a webber application and sell a series of your valuable knowledge to me for the price of the morning paper and change the way digtal media is shared

instead of a website being free a webmaster can charge with your program a nominal fee for their content and make a buck or two and start a new trend like the way weblogging started.

I like webpages to be free but if you know something and it’s of value then I don’t mind paying a small fee like a buck or two

Thanks for the little review Sally. I’m also interested in your experience using it.
