    Hello,

For my site I set up ExpressionEngine in a sub directory (/ee). I then moved it across to the root, changed the paths in the admin area and everything worked fine. The same database on the server was used, and it allowed me to get everything right before transfering.

Is this OK to do? I haven’t experienced any problems so far. The reason I’m asking is because I might be doing it with a much larger site and don’t want any problems!

Only one minor glitch..the “My Site” link in the control panel still says /ee, everything else seems to work fine.

Yes, it’s fine to move a site that way. The “My Site” can be edited by clicking the “edit link” icon next to it.
