I’m wondering what the reason is for forcing a logout when a user changes their password?
I think usually a password change happens after a password reset, which is a bit of an ordeal in itself. Forcing a logout at that point seems like it could be the last straw for a user.

I don’t thin it is forced, as such. It’s just that the login information stored in the cookie will no longer be correct, so you need to login again.
