I have been asked to develop an automotive web classifieds application. I was told that all major dealer management software supports an export feature to allow the dealer to pull autos from inventory and upload the listing to web services like AutoTrader.Com. I have spent hours researching this and the best I have found is the S.T.A.R. project. This project however, does not seem to support a classifieds listing service and seems to have been developed to allow information to be transmitted between dealerships and manufacturers.
Does anyone know of any such standards?
