I have created a weblog where different users can enter their own details in Publish.  Each weblog is paginated so each member has their own page.

So the weblog is the same but the “#” on the left hand column in the edit page is different.  eg #68. 

I have created a list using one of the variables, “{studio_name}” on another template which calls each member’s name field for each user. 

How do I create a link to call up the specific paginated weblog entry only for that name clicked on the list?  For example a link to Mary’s, John’s and June’s specific weblogs?

In effect a contents page

Can’t you just use your normal weblog:entries tag to output a list of all the entries in that weblog with their relevant links?

I wouldn’t link to the pagination page, but instead you want to set up a template to display individual users and link to it like this:

<a href="http://{title_permalink=template_group_name/template_name}">{title}</a>

ExpressionEngine will use the URI to know which of your members to show.

These are two different solutions I shall answer each one in turn.

Tyssen - I have already output a list of the entries as a database.  But the name filed does not have a link as it is just text and I don’t want to confuse things too much for user as not all of them are terribly computer savvy.  I think I shall go with Ryan’s solution.  However, thanks because your suggestion gives me a better insight into how I can use EE and its flexibility.

Ryan - Thanks, this appears to be the solution that I understand best and it uses “{title}” which also corresponds to the name of the member.  I shall I apply it as soon as I can, hopefully today.

Hi Again

Ryan - I have done what you suggested.  The link on the list only takes me as far as the first page of the template.  I cannot find a way of linking a name on the list to the weblog entry.  I don’t know what to link to beyond the weblog.  When I put in “{title}” or “{studio_name}” or anything else, it always takes me to the same first page of the paginated entries.
