I need to implement a feature that allows registered users to vote in a contest.  In this case they’ll be voting on a selection of 10 entries, but they might as well be voting on anything.  Each user will be allowed to vote once per day.  Each day they can vote on any of the selected entries, even an entry they’ve previously voted for.

Does anyone know of an ExpressionEngine add-on that would accomplish that out of the box or with minimal customization?  If there isn’t, I’ll just make something from scratch.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ryan.  I wasn’t aware of that add-on and I took a look.  I think I’ll end up developing my own solution that just does exactly what I need.

Leevi also has an AJAX Poll Module that looks pretty slick.

I haven’t used it myself, but it sounds like something that might save you some development time.

Thanks, I took a look at that too.  I think I’m better off making something from scratch rather than trying to alter one of the polling systems to meet my unique requirements, like allowing repeat voting, once per day.
