Running the Dual monitor thing eh?
I thought of buying another 1440 x 900 for dual, it would be great for multitasking on projects.

The Programmer’s Bill of Rights, Amendment Number One: Every programmer shall have two monitors
If you haven’t used 2 before, try it and understand.
Apologies to the original author, as there are many such bills of rights and I have no idea where this list started. Here’s one version.
After you have your two monitors at eye-level, get a keyboard/pointer setup that minimizes stress on your shoulders/arms/hands. If you’re programming now, chance are you’ll still be doing a lot of typing in 10 and 20 years, and you DO NOT want Carpal tunnel.
Back to the original question - anything clear, without glare that doesn’t give me headaches will do. For now, that’s a Planar, about 20” diagonal.

so nearly all of you have Dual? I am not surprised, I guess I will go back and buy another one to see what I missing out on. 😊

I’m on a 19” 1280*1024 Samsung screen. Though I desperately want a new monitor. I’d love 2*20” but don’t have the budget for it… So i’ll probably end up buying one 20” for main use and the 19” 4:3 for previewing in websites and other stuff…

I had 4 19” montitors at one point of mixed brands, my favourite was my iiyama though.
Now i’ve got a macbook pro with a 19” dell tft hanging out the dvi.
I really really really wish macbooks had 2 dvi ports :(

At home I have a 19” widescreen Dell that does 1680x1050. I’m planning on purchasing a new one (or perhaps two) sometime in the next few months. My work monitor is my Macbook’s fairly-sad 1280x800; I’m waiting (impatiently) for the new Macbook Pros to come out so I can buy their 17” and rejoice. Fingers crossed for October 14.
@audiopleb: There are a few devices that let you simulate two DVI ports. I don’t know if they work on macbooks.
