My curiosity is: EE 2.0 will be some default fetures like others CMS?
I´m talking about native tags archiving (not a extension or plugin), a real WYSIWYG editor (maybe a default online WYSIWYG template editor, too), native image manipulation tools (rotating, resizing, cropping, etc…)
and a better documentation /syntaxis code.

To a newbie, like me - the “weblogs” concepts its a bit confused. Today i have it more experience, but for a novice…

I think with the EE documentation can be more reach, with video-examples of any relevant documentation section.

    Well, wait, wait, wait…

EE now have greater documentation /syntaxis code. If you not believe - try to work with Drupal for example 😊

    a real WYSIWYG editor

Only if it’s can be easily turn off…

    oh… no way…

But it make this system real flexible, and I hope that EEv2 not be like other blogging CMS.

Yeah, i agree with one or 2 points above, but the concept “weblog” its confuse. I got it hard time to understanding (some language differences, right? i´m a brazilian guy)
Maybe changing this to “Content Conteiner” can be more intuitive.

When i talk about documentation, i think with TODAY we have a better organizated structure, but we still need to search in various data sources, like forums, wikis and documentation. The ideal is with ALL help files can be easily founded in same place.

So, its interesting have it a help team organizating the cool tips with eventually shows in wiki or forum and adding this content (reviewed) to the official docs. Sometimes i found a stuff in forum, the wiki its outdated or in the forum we have it a nice example better explained then official documentation.

A PDF manual to print helps too.

“Weblog” will be changed in EE 2.0, this has been stated publicly.

EL is on record on most of that stuff.  It’s been said that “weblogs” will no longer be the term used to refer to what it does now.  That doesn’t mean the core functionality changes though, just the semantics.

I doubt EL would take business away from Solspace given their close relationship, so native integration of the tags module seems like a stretch.  Also, I doubt you’ll see anything WYSIWYG by default in EE for a while now.  As has been said, there simply isn’t a solution yet that meets the level of stability that EL is looking for (which I have to agree with).  Even the best WYSIWYG editors are buggy.

    the wiki its outdated

Everyone in the community can edit the Wiki, hence the reason its a wiki.  If you find something you feel is outdated, update it. 😊
