Thanks for the help on deleting clips, only Option + Delete is working for me.
Great job on the clips, it should come in pretty handy!

Yes, thanks for this now Coda is complete!

Don’t forget about Flat File Templates in the ExpressionEngine Docs! This makes editing the templates in Coda a lot easier!
Also, Coda Clips still have not added those clips to their site.

Thanks a lot for this, really helpful!

Hi there,
Thanks for putting together these clips. I’ve only just realised that this feature even exists in Coda!
Can shortcut keys be used to insert some of these clips? Or does it require a double-click from the Clips panel?
Also, can these Clips (or other EE code) be used for auto-completion? I’d love to start typing the start of an EE tag and for the item in the Clips panel appear by default in the same way that typing paragraph tags automatically creates a closing tag. Can this auto-completion be created within Coda other than what it does by default?
Thanks,
Ste

Hi Ste,
You can assign a shortcut which when you type it in and then press the tab key it auto fills in the clip. As to auto-completion I think that probably requires a lot more integral programming within Coda so I don’t think it is an option at the moment or at least not from what I’ve seen anyway.
Myself personally I use TextExpander instead of storing items in Coda as then I can expand things in all programmes whenever and wherever I need them. For instance I just type strictdoc (had to be careful typing that here or would have had tons of code appear!! 😉 ) and then a complete XHTML 1.0 Strict DocType and some started CSS and HTML code is pasted into whatever program I am in at the time. Really really helpful.
Best wishes,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Thanks for letting me know about how to assign shortcuts to clips.
I think that TextExpander sounds excellent and does just what I was wanting to do with Coda with the auto-completion! 😊 Thanks for the heads-up for this and I’m just about to download a trial of this! Like you say, should be useful in all sorts of applications.
Thanks,
Ste

Yep literally saves me probably hours of typing. I have EXP set up to automatically throw out a standard weblog tag with my own parameters in it, saves me tons of time 😉
Best wishes,
Mark

Never got into Coda, but you know what? I’m gonna give it a try on the project I’m currently doing and see how it goes.
Is there a ‘vibrant ink’ theme for Coda or do such things not exist?
#40 / Dec 04, 2008 11:49pm
Andy, I’m not sure what you are referring to by “vibrant ink” theme? Do you mean changing the colors of the editor like this?
http://www.iunknown.com/2007/06/vibrant_ink_vis.html
Under preferences there is a colors section, maybe that helps?
BTW is that a 360 avatar I see?

Yeah, with Textmate you can download something which just sets all the colors up for you. I’ve toyed around in the colors preferences a little, so I’ve gotten it something like what I want - but to be honest I think I’m gonna stick with Textmate as I can code stuff much quicker, especially with the EE bundle.
And yes, yes it is! I found out that Microsoft allow you to view your avatar online at (in my case) http://avatar.xboxlive.com/avatar/deadfrog1976/avatar-body.png, so I thought why not.
