    Just outta curiousity,
I am storing my templates as files on my current setup.  From my understanding, if you don’t actually ‘save’ the file from the CP, then the copy that’s in the database, never gets updated.  So if revisions are turned on, does it keep copies of each new template thats been uploaded?  Seems to me it would only keeps versions of whatever was stored in the database.  I was just hoping someone could explain how it works.

        Thanks,

No, older versions of the template are only saved when you save them via the CP. Otherwise, EE uses the file on the server. Changes to that file are not monitored.
