Well, version 0.2.0 of IgnitedRecord has now been released.
And now I’m currently out of any “real” ideas for it (well, I sure have some diffuse ones, but I need to know where I should go).

So please, if you have any ideas (no matter how large changes they may be), please post!

So here is a poll for me to find out what you think about the current version.

I voted neutral. I’m not using it because I don’t feel like learning new syntax (I don’t know RoR) and as you say yourself: it’s slower then when doing it with ActiveRecord…

Well, the syntax is identical to CI’s AR, so that one shouldn’t be much of a problem.

I think the base library is good. The coding style should IMHO follow EllisLab coding guidelines, but that’s really a detail.

I think that now you should stop to refactor your library and improve your communication around it to make it become more popular. This can start with a kick ass user guide (CI’s style) and then a small website dedicated to it.

IgnitedRecord has a manual, it is included (I’ll make this more clear) in the download.

And I’ll consider writing a website for it.
