    Hey All—

As I’m writing this I’m sitting at the CityFlats hotel, in the back row of the Ruby on Rails Session being put on by CollectiveIdea.

No - I’m not jumping ship to Ruby on Rails.  I wanted to get a sense for how the room felt and worked with people in it, so I came down for the afternoon.  We’re just coming off from the afternoon break that featured fresh cookies of the non-browser variety.  I missed the chocolate chip ones though…

Good on you, AJP!  Boyink, I’m sure it’s going to be something talked about for some time; wish I could be there.

Latest scallywag is that a local newscrew is headed to interview the CollectiveIdea guys about the Sessions series of training - so EE may get some air time as well.

Your reporter in the field will post updates as they occur….😉

    True story…

So, a couple years ago I get a call from Rick saying that NBC (I think it was them, one of the big 3) had left a message for him and wanted a call back. We get all excited, “wow, what a break, TV coverage!” After a day or two of phone tag he finally gets in touch with the reporter. Turns out the reporter had no idea who Rick was, what EE was, or really knew that much about blogging. She had just read on his personal blog from years past that he had a nice front lawn and they were doing a story on how to keep your lawn in shape.

..but as MsBoyink pointed out, they got the name of the hotel wrong “CityView” vs. “CityFlats”... :red:

Although the view is nice - from the top-floor restaurant you can see the De Zwaan windmill from one side and Lake Macatawa from the other.

Here’s the print article that led to the TV version.  EE gets a bit more ink in this case.

Oh, and If you can accept a Paypal payment, I’ll cover the shipping if you could Fed Ex one of those slices to Pittsburgh for me… 😜

I wish I could have registered. I think the class will be very successful, and of course, I’m interested to see what comes out of this first round. Best of luck!

Their Chicken Alfredo pizza might just be worth the shipping cost…;)

Thanks for the comments James.  I’ll do a wrap-up blog post on Train-ee after the session is over.
