eee pc are they worth it?

I just got a capital one credit line with a balance of 300 dollars and I was thinking of using that balance plus a few hundred cash out of my next pay check to buy myself the 901 the 1000l is nice but it is 700 dollars one hundred more

I have hit a wall the internet is boring lately so I’m thinking let me buy myself something new to raise my interest in it

I would have to say no.  My 900 did not work out of the box without hardware hacks.  Its nice for those who want to spend money and then tweak.  Quite the novelty.

I wouldn’t bother, in a few weeks you’ll just be bored again but $500+ in debt. Just smoke a fag.

    just smoke a fag

fag means cigarette in Britain so maybe you mean smoke a cig

in American speech smoking a fag would mean to beat a fag at something like hey I smoked that fag at air hockey

As for the EEE - I like them. Nice and small and virtually all of them support the Hackintosh OS-X.

Now - to the topic of finances:
You just got a new $300 limit credit card - so you are either young or your credit is shot. Do you really want to max out the card for a new toy? Can you pay that new toy off next month so you are not paying interest on it?

Believe me, first hand experience here, don’t get caught up in credit cards. I have wet dreams about the day I am debt free and really, we’re not that bad off - much less debt than the average American family but still, it sucks.

If you have a $300 limit card your goal is to build your credit. Set it aside for one specific type of purchase, that you know you can pay off every month - gas is always a good option. Buy your gas on the card, pay it off each month, and watch your credit build.
