The EE Roadshow is a unique, one day event that’s “part training, part brainstorming, part networking and all wonderful.” The goal is capture the positive spirit of the EE Community in a real-world way. Rick Ellis, CEO of EllisLab, will be attending. If you’ve never met Rick in person, this is your opportunity to meet the mind behind EllisLab and ExpressionEngine in a fun, relaxed setting. The EE Roadshow also includes a variety of sessions from basic EE setup to exploring module development.

This Roadshow event is going to be held in Vancouver, BC, on Friday, September 26th, starting at 1 p.m. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased in-advance

I note that the 26th of September is just after the autumnal equinox, which is the last day that could possibly be construed as “summer”. I wonder if that has anything to do with the timing of this appearance?

Here are the questions asked in the process of choosing the date:

*When is EE 2.0 arriving? This is to be more of a progressive release or process than a singular event from what I understand. (I think this might be what you’re getting at, if my tired synapses will allow me to deduce what seems obvious to others right now.)

*When were all of the organizers themselves going to be in town?

*What other tech and/or cultural events are happening in Vancouver around that time?

*Finally, how long would we need to organize this little affair without feeling like we were building a website for a client whose pants were on fire?

The equinox question could only have been partially intended, at best. That is if we had been even remotely cognizant of it, of course. LOL. Interesting observation, and we might just make that part of the story. Fun.

Mmm disinformation and counter intelligence at it’s best. Or it could be a massive coincidence.

If you come to Australia let me know! Cairns is great this time of year (scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef anyone?)

If you go outside the reef (the other side) then you will up against the big sharks, but only small sharks (reef sharks) swim inside and they don’t really bother you.

The stinger season is over at the moment so it’s a great time to go snorkelling and diving!

I have no idea what reef burn is by the way.

Wave pushes you into coral underwater.  20x times worse than road rash.

I really hope this signals an imminent release for EE 2.0! Which would make it just in time for my new blog! 😊

    EE Roadshow, New York!

That would so totally rock, especially if the Vancouver show is a total success, which it will be!
