This is not another when is it ready question…

But when it does come out after developer (playtime) - sorry tests!!! What sort of addons support are we likely to be looking at?

I am in the need to redesign my local rugby clubs website… Currently a hashed together Joomla and SMF site. These two are good and fine to use, but i use the site to test new bits of software, learn new bits for myself etc… And so the next theory was a play site with EE2.0…

However… After i am done planning (things like my league tables, profiles, etc) i am going to need a couple of the EE1.6 addons like forum and simple ecomm, etc.
Are these likely to be supported and pretty solid at release?
Or are they going to go through a re-build scenario to bring them in line with 2.0?

Or are there going to be new ways of handling users in EE2.0 where i will be able to join user tables more easily? Hence i could use other ecomm, forums, etc.???

    just interested to hear opinions…

I am also very intrigued to see how the code igniter core will work for making custom parts, as this is another one of my current learning projects!!!

Since the forums and ecomm are both ellis lab products I can’t imagine them not being supported.

thats what i would like to think, but ideally was looking for confirmation. i know the EE2.0 teaser site says that it is a easy process to get 1.6 addons ready for 2.0… so i am hoping they will… but with all the work they are doing on 2.0 they might not want have time for the addons… or they might be planning to do more to the membership system and addons such as the forum.
Any Confirmations out there? ideally i am going to wait up to late sept for 2.0, but if the forums, etc are to follow later, i might give a little sigh!!! (although be enjoying myself playing with the control panel!).
