There are many complete resources available freely on the web for learning MySQL, as this is something not specific to ExpressionEngine. Some that come to mind are:

MySQL’s own documentation is not the best to learn from until you have a good understanding, but there are a tutorials and sites that target a variety of skill levels, Googling will help you find them.
