    Hi all,

got this email today. what i did is, i got in hurry to get this .asia domain to avoid any confusions for my customers. Ahhhhhmmmm - 2 minutes later - I thougt, too clever chinese - thats a good trick to push .asia domain sales.

Anyone get similar email or any hint if this is fake or real?

    yours,
    Chris

    Dear Sir

We received a formal application from a company who is called Saibo Investment Co.,Ltd is applying to register “xxxxxxxxx” as their domain name in China as well as in Asia on July 27, 2008. During our auditing procedure we find out that the alleged Saibo Investment Co.,Ltd has no trade mark, brand nor patent even similar to that word. As an authorized anti-cyber squatting organization we hereby suspect the alleged Saibo Investment Co.,Ltd to be a domain grabber. Hence we need your confirmation for two things, `

First of all, whether this alleged Saibo Investment Co.,Ltd is your business partner or distributor in China.

Secondly, whether you are interested in registering these domains (The alleged Saibo Investment Co.,Ltd will be entitled to obtain a domain not needed by original trademark owner.)

If you are not in charge of this please transfer this email to appropriate dept.

This is a letter for confirmation. If the mentioned third party is your business partner or distributor in China please DO NOT reply. We will automatically confirm application from your business partner after this audit procedure.

    Best wishes,

    Sam. Zhao

    Er?
Maybe some misunderstanding between you two parties.
I am a German company, anb my ghrndu.asia domain was grabbed a few months ago.
Then Beijing Hao Ao contacted me and help dispute my .asia back.
And no law consultation fee. I feel so gratitude.
I also advice my business partners if they want to apply some domains or lawsuit contact this chinese
    registrar.

I also received an email from .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and I responded by saying I had no relationship with the Saibo Investment Co and I have reported fraud activity to the Federal Trade Commission and International Fraud organizations. I have a fairly well known sports URL and I think the Chinese are trying to sabbotage—for some unknown and ridiculous reason. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks-

Who do you think took it in the first place? 😊

It’s a old scam that hits a lot of danish companies these days. How much did you give to get your domain back?
