    Context

I have set up a weblog where members can enter their own content and publish on the web.  This is to give them autonomy of content on their page.

    Issue

In a trial, when this is done by one of the ‘members group’, the weblog is published with ‘closed’ status.  When you go to ‘options’ and click the status dropdown menu, there is no choice for ‘open’, only ‘closed’.

When I access the weblog to edit it as an ‘administrator’ I can select open in the status menu.

    Question

How can I set things so that a member group editor can raise the status of their own weblog to open?

    Thanks

Make sure the weblog in question actually has a status group assigned to it.

Glad i found this thread.  I was very frustrated about the same thing.  Maybe you guys could replace the status drop-down to a message “No status group assigned to the weblog” when that is the case.
