    Hi all -

As I had no idea where to post this, I decided in the lounge since it’s a bit off-topic and quite relaxing (no deadlines attached). I was looking into EE’s Website and Designchuchi (http://www.designchuchi.ch/) and I love the Icons used throughout. After a major Google search for good icons out there, I’m still very dissapointed with my findings. Hence, the questions: Anyone know any good icon factory out there?

http://www.iconshock.com seemed to have a motherload of icons, but then again, not slick enough.

Should I be rolling my sleeves and get down and dirty in PhotoShop myself?

Cheers to a good day !

I use the Silkicons (famfamfam.com) on almost every project. Pure 16x16 32bit .png goodness.

I have a massive download folder on my computer with loads and loads of icons in that I have collected over the years but a few really good places to start would be :

    Bright

Milky - 8 Parts to this one!

    Iconlet - Find Icons

    Iconfinder - Find Icons

Hopefully those should keep you busy for a while! 😉

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Not free, but Dan Cederholm’s Stockholm icons are really fantastic, especially the Mini set.

I think Smashing Mag did several write ups on Free icons.  Yep about 4, right here.

Surprisingly http://www.istockphoto.com has some great icons on their roster.

Yeah there is no doubt the icons are nice on iStock but they are getting more and more expensive by the day! I love almost all the stuff on there but I’m starting to look elsewhere as the price is starting to get ridiculous! Damn getty!

Yeah I know, I haven’t checked iStock in awhile and just noticed the price thing today…and you only get about a dozen of icons - if that…good stuff however!

I just love the stuff on there, but a company that has the cheek to charge their UK customers more than their US customers is going downhill fast!
