I use Opera as my main browser, and here’s what I do: I have defined new “search engines” (using Google) for the EE site in general, the wiki, and the docs. Entering “ee keyword” or, say, “ed date formatting” in the address bar takes me there directly.
<a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&client=opera&rls=en&q=%site:expressionengine.com/docs">http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&client=opera&rls=en&q;=%site:expressionengine.com/docs</a>Very nice, if not as nifty 😊

Also a nice tip Ingmar. The new Opera is quite impressive. I’ve been using it more and more.

Nice work, Steven!
@Ingmar - I do something similar with Sogudi for Safari.

Nice. I gave Safari a fair try on Windows, but somehow we didn’t really hit it off. The Mac version must be far superior to attract the following it has.

Inquisitor is great, been using it for quite some time - thanks to Steve for the tip on adding EE specific search!

That is awesome for Inquisitor, one of my favorite Safari tools. I’ll admit though, I did remove the /docs/ from the URL so that it searches all of ExpressionEngine.com. That’s more useful for me personally

Thanks a lot for that, it’ll be useful !

Wow! I didn’t realise I’d made front page news at ExpressionEngine 😊
Thanks for the free mug in return… lol heehee

Hey Ingmar, Opera also supports OpenSearch 😊

Really? It’s not listed here, do you’ve got some more info? A link, perhaps?

I saw this -
http://ez.no/developer/contribs/3rd_party/opensearch_plugins_for_internet_explorer_firefox_others
and it mentions OpenSearch for Opera. What happens when you click on the OpenSearch link?

I feel a little bit like the Viking who discovered America before Columbus: I posted two OpenSearch plugins for EE in April. 😊
http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/76496/
One is for the docs and does an “I Feel Lucky” search so it usually gets you exactly the page you want. The other searches all of the site, and is for when you’re wanting to include the wiki and forums because you’re digging around more.
