Every time I try to View Rendered Template, I receive an error message that I never received before:

    Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /index.php could not be found on this server.

The URL producing this message that the View Rendered Template button is trying to load is:
    http://www.jdcc.org/index.php?URL=http://www.jdcc.org/index.php/site/forms/&tgpref=3

Any ideas why this cropped up? I am not the only one with full access to the settings at this site, so I wondered if someone changed some path setting somewhere?

You are getting a 406 “Not acceptable” error, which is very rare in web browsers, because most browsers will accept any data returned from your Web server.

    HTTP/1.1 406 Not Acceptable
    Server: Apache/2.2.8 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.8 OpenSSL/
    0.9.7a DAV/2 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimite
    d/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635
    Content-Length: 260
    Connection: close
    Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

So, my money is on a server issue, possibly to do with rewriting URLs, although I have never encountered this status code “in the wild”. You might want to ask your server poeple / host and/or take a look at the server logs.

As a note, I have seen this with mod_security, so definitely talk to your host and find out if that is coming into play.

I’ve had this before too and it is usually due to mod_security as Lisa states.

This page here may help you out to try and work this one out but your host should definitely be able to find out what is triggering it and then they will give you a code or codes that will enable you to allow whatever it is that you are trying to do.

Hope you get it all sorted out soon.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

tbritton, does that make sense? Please let us know if and when your host gets back to you. Thanks.
