    Hi,

I’m new to EE and I’m looking to transition from Joomla where banner ads were served directly on the site server to EE. I wanted to ask you guys what your experience was with Open-X, DoubleClick and or any other Ad Server service. Thanks in advance for your help!!!

    Hi thememagazine,

I moved your post to the General Discussion forum. You’re more likely to get a response here than in Pre-sales on this type of question.

I’ve used OpenX and like it. It’s a breeze to install and configure.

I second that, OpenX works just fine. Never did a full integration with EE, but they work together just fine.

I am on a mac and I tried downloading OpenX - but I get an error every time I try and unpack it to my desktop (so I can upload onto my server). Any thoughts on why that might be happening? I tried looking through the OpenX FAQ’s but there’s very little documentation which is what worries me…

    Thanks again.

I’m also on a Mac and just tried the download and unzip. It worked OK for me. Maybe the download didn’t properly complete? I’d try re-downloading and maybe disable “Open Safe Files After Downloading”, if you’re using Safari.
