I am currently evaluating EE Core for a large media site I am developing.
It has met all my needs so far which is great.

    Before I purchase I have a menu/navigation question.

My current flat css template which I will use with EE uses this vertical nested collapsible navigation menu down the left hand side.
    ( The menu is xmenu6 from cross-browser.com http://cross-browser.com/x/menus/xmenu6.html ).

Can I use EE to display my categories and their sub-categories in this manner.
I only require one level deep.

I need the menu to expand and collapse when clicked.

    eg.
    Cat One
    - Sub Cat1.1
    - Sub Cat1.2

    Cat Two
    - Sub Cat2.1
    - Sub Cat2.2

    Hope this makes sence.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks,

Looking at the source code for the menu you link to, it appears to be a standard unordered list.  The opening <li> element has a class and id parameter, which presumably allows it to be turned into an expandable/contractable list via JavaScript.

If you look at the category tag in EE you’ll see that you can create a nested version, and you can pass the class/id to the opening list element, which should allow you to achieve what you’re looking for.
