I am having trouble getting a secondary weblog to show info across a site.

I want to show a list of Upcoming Events on every page of the site in the sidebar.

I’ve created a weblog called “events” and I can get the list of entries to show on the homepage: http://www.mydomain.com using the weblog and title tags.

Having embedded the event weblog in the sidebar, I also get the list of entries to show on the template pages I’ve created: eg. http://www.mydomain.com/page

However, when I pull up an article that uses the template page, the info from the Events weblog disappears.
    E.g. http://www.mydomain.com/page/the_article

To check the paths I replaced the weblog tags with just plain text and that reproduces on every page of the site no problem.

    Any suggestions, gratefully received!

Sounds like you just need to add the dynamic=“off” parameter to the weblog tag.  That causes it to ignore any info passed in the url.  Without it- the tag sees a url title in the url and tries to serve up just the matching entry.  There isn’t one in that weblog- thus you get nothing showing.

    Make sense?

That did the trick. Massive thanks.

😉  Good deal- closing this one out.
