Hello folks.
We are running into a problem where attempting to log into the control panel for our intallation is taking an extraordinarily long time to do so.
When using IE7, I am able to enter in my username/pwd but after I submit that I find that I have to wait anywhere from 3-7 minutes for the login process to actually complete and show me the control panel homepage. Once I am in the control panel however, I have no problem moving around from module to module with absolutely no slowdowns whatsoever. However once I close my browser or logout and I proceed to log back in, I go through the same process again.
When I use Firefox, I generally get a different experience. After submitting the username/pwd combo, I will also wait ~5-10 minutes this time but instead of eventually letting me in, it returns me a 500 error.
This installation is on a shared server at a remote location. However we have worked with our vendors already and they state that no changes were made to the server in the past few weeks that they are aware of. We’ve also had them restart mysql services as well as hard boot the server itself thinking there was system resource issue. We have not made any changes to the control panel either. We are currently running on 1.5.1 and have been on it for quite sometime with no issues till now.
Are you aware of anyone having similar issues? Is there some sort of limitation that we’ve hit with Expression Engine that might be causing this login issue?
