Well, I’m pretty found of this. I have to do some pagination on the search results because 2500 records kind puts a hurting on jquery’s ability to manipulate the dom crisply ... but I think so far she’s alright!

What do you think? It’s a sourcing database for integrated electronics brokers. Most of the good stuff requires a login though.  :(

Come to think of it ... all the good stuff requires a login. Oh well ... I’m still elated.

Thanks Rick Ellis and team ... this is the neatest and most maintainable code I’ve ever written!

My last version of this program was the first real project I ever made with jQuery. It was a php/jquery quagmire ... I never wanted to update it. I’m sure many of you fell into the same trap I did ... I made like everything an Ajax call because John Resig makes it so easy to write amazingly dynamic web sites.

So this was nice ... I kept it as clean and usable as possible. It’s true how fun CI makes web development ... it was getting stale.

Like it, its a good idea. I used to work in electronics years ago, and I think this could be jolly useful.

Initially I didn’t like the design and thought it was a bit too red, then I suppose the target audience wouldn’t give a rats a55 😊

    thumbs up!

In the search results you have “The Americas” as a tab. It should be “America”. I also think you can use a little bit more padding in the main content area.

You done a great job 😊

    Thanks!

Not a bad idea on the padding. I stated the tab as ‘the americas’ in order to cover North and South America

Nice site. There’s an issue with the number of results found text. For example, where it says ‘Found 4 results in Europe & Africa’ overflows into the first two tabs below it.

My bad. I just tried it on FF2 and IE7 at work and it works fine. I believe the problem was I was using FF3 at home last night.
