It’s almost 1 GB and 11 minutes. I’m seeing if I can upload to Youtube, if not… anyone know a good place? Also bare in mind that I just learned how to use CodeIgniter a few days a go 😉

So when I upload it tell me what you think. I’m “uploading” it to YouTube as I type this so if it doesn’t work I will need some place else to do so.

You will never find a host that will support a 1GB file. You need to record at a much lower resolution.

If anything, youtube is gonna downconvert the hell out of that file 😊

I split it in to two parts now. I uploaded the first part to Youtube and it’s just processing on YouTube. I will upload the second part and I will also post the links to the videos ASAP.

    Can’t wait for feedback 😛

If you want, you can PM me for my MSN too and we can talk on MSN about w/e lol.

Edit: Here is the first part:

but the quality is so bad. Any tips on how to get a better quality video? lol

Edit: Edit: The quality isn’t that bad when I’m playing it on my computer… I guess I could upload it to one of my websites.

Youtube downconverts videos so that they are a relatively reasonable size. Makes ‘em look like crap usually. Dunno what the trick is for the folks that have high(er) quality vids.

Here is a better one(had to split the files in windows movie maker, that’s why it’s in WMV)

It’s the down-conversion that is messing it up.

    A) Record at a much lower resolution - I usually do an 800 x 600 resolution, only recording about half of the screen.
    B) Record your audio after the movie, play with the audio settings, I usually record at a level on par with Radio quality - merge that with the video.
    C) Upload your video to various services and test them - see which one gives you the best quality. I prefer Revver, some people prefer others.

And WMV encoding sucks - record as an xvid or divx AVI.

I’d just recode however I want and then recode it using VirtualDubMod. Awesome freeware tool… Just recompress your audio stream to mp3, say 96kbs and use an xvid codec. If you want to resize your video, you’ll have to use a resize filter.
