I love the idea of doc-discuss!
Any chance that we can have Wiki stop eating code?...because I can see endless threads of “this didn’t work for me even though it is in docs”
Thanks!

Pardon?

Hey Derek,
Perhaps not the best place to post this so forgive me, I didn’t mean to downplay this discussion.
This is a good move for sure.
But, I can hardly get excited over wiki if its code rendering (in essence the most important part of the documentation) is not working.
I have to constantly hit ‘edit this page’ just to make sure I can see all the code entered. When entered in wiki (in forum posts too) some (code) (/code)is not rendered 100%. Here is an example. Perhaps we can load the code into the textarea vs. just styling and letting EE process it as the rest of the templates.
As a last resort at least allow for txt attachments.
Thanks!

Feel free to start a new discussion, lebisol, but honestly, you’ll have to give more details than to just say that “some” code isn’t rendered and linking to a page - I have no knowledge of whether or not what I’m seeing is correct or not. The key questions are: What are you entering, what are you expecting, and what is actually output? I suspect you are just having some text removed by security filters, but that’s certainly not going to be allowed to be bypassed. In any case, that would be better handled in a separate thread, as you mention, and incidentally, file uploads are allowed in the wiki.

Thank you for the follow up and the work put in. 😉
