Ever had that feeling that all the good domain names are already taken?

Well I’ve got that feeling right now! I’ve been hurting my head for the last couple of weeks trying to find a new catchy name for my website.
Since the website will probably evolve into a portfolio website I want a “serious” name.
    It must be catchy.
I tried variations on my last name… nothing 😊

everytime I come up with something cool, it’s already been registered 😊

some of my brain twisters are:
    exquiweb
    exquimedia
    Arsimedia
    Optifolio

    >> not very catchy don’t you think ? or when you hear it, you wouldn’t be sure about the spelling…

I’ve been trying to find a catchy word (invented or existing). I would not prefer the domain to be a combination of words….

    argh 😊
    plain nightmare…

    suggestions welcome 😊

Are you only looking for .com? What about .biz?

if I can’t find something catchy I could try .biz
but I wouldn’t want to have the same name (and domain) of an already taken .com or .net. It wouldn’t be correct let alone legal issues that could occur…

    the hunt goes on 😊

Have you considered using a domain service like pickydomains.com?

Basically, you deposit $50 and describe what your site is going to be. You can make some keyword requirements if you want, and specify the max number of words, whether hyphens are allowed, if it has to be a .com, etc. Then people suggest domains that aren’t taken. If they suggest a name that you decide to use, they get $25 of the $50. If you don’t see anything you like, you can take your deposit back.

I’ve normally received at least 200 suggestions within a couple days, and though I didn’t always take them, at the very least they spurred some creative juices.
