Hello, I’ve decided to use Lightview to create photo essays on my site.  However, because this is the first plugin/extension that I have installed that wasn’t written explicitly for EE, I’m unsure to which directories I should upload the files.

Thanks for any pointers that you can provide.

Folders like “lib” obviously should go in the EE “lib” folder/directory.  But where on earth do javascript and additional css files go?  Should I paste this new css into my existing style sheet or can it live independently?

Well, it’s not exactly a plugin in terms of EE, so you can basically install it wherever you want. No, “lib” would not go into your EE “lib” directory: Not being familiar with Lightview myself, I suspect that the whole directory should be copied into a web-acessible directory, somewhere below public_html (or whatever it is called in your case.)

Bottom line: you have the choice, really, as long as you use the correct path in your website. Makes sense?

Thanks Ingmar, that’s just what I needed to know.
