    I’m trying soo hard right now to stop using short tags since PHP won’t officially support them in due course… and rewriting them takes up valuable CPU and Memory, even if very slight.

    If you’re going to rewrite short tags, you may as well go the whole hog and use a template engine!

    I was sure that PHP were only dropping ASP-style tags (<%%>) - I coulden’t live without short tags!
