PHP isn’t the nicest language to work with, but it gets the job done.  The language was built with one thing in mind, and that is the development of web pages.  It has evolved with the web, and will continue to do so.  If you want to build websites, PHP is the way.

Also, anyone who practices modern PHP techniques will tell you the following quote is straight up bull:

‘OO, N-Tier, exception handling, domain modeling, refactoring and unit testing are all foreign concepts in the PHP world.’

Any suggestions for the CodeIgniter boat?

How about a lifeboat - coming to the rescue of all drowning/floundering web developers?

    edit: added MY_boat suggestion.

A small barge - its stable, dependable and makes it easier to gets to places. Its still quite basic but can handle a big load of multiple objects (no pun) and can be built upon and added to easily 😊
