I’ve been working with HTML for lots of years, yet the button element seems to have escaped me until rather recently. I find it odd that I don’t see it used too often given what a pain it is to remember to add class=“button” to any such input element…which gets me to thinking maybe there’s a reason it’s rarely used.

Anyone shed any light on this, either way? What do you guys use?

Andy, I LOVE the button. Totally underused. Great for forms. I used it to great effect on a site I did last year. Use the Button!

    Yes,

That Particle Tree article is great.  I used the technique for a large project recently and it all worked VERY well.  It’s great to be able to make all of the buttons work/look similarly regardless of whether they are just links or form submit buttons.
