This has been on my mind for a while now. I don’t have an EE license, because I don’t have any real use for it right now. I do however visit these forums frequently. There have been quite a few questions in the Plugin/Module/Extension “Discussion and Questions” forums that I feel I could have contributed to. The catch is that I don’t have posting rights.
It’s perfectly understandable that access to the ‘Technical Support’ subforums is limited, but the discussion forums should encourage discussion. Also, with EE 2 looming on the horizon, I expect that a lot of CodeIgniter users will drop by these forms. As CI users tend to be naturally attracted to source code, they will be drawn to the addon discussions. I feel opening them up would benefit everyone.
