Just seen Blog It and thought people here might be interested in checking it out.

Post from Facebook to all over the place - Twitter, Pownce etc etc.

Here’s the link to the actual Facebook app

It looks like it supports the Movable Type login, so I suspect that it could also be hooked up to your EE installs using the metaweblog module.

I thought it was interesting, if it had a direct option to send stuff to my EE blog, I’d probably use it, but as it is, I can already send status updates from Twitter to FaceBook and my blog, and I don’t post to my LiveJournal account (just use it for stories). I don’t have a use for it, yet. But it would be cool to control a number of things from a single source.

Have the new labels bee around long? (e.g. Grad Student, Research Assistant…) or were they just introduced?

I gave up on Facebook and left about three months ago - too many zombie attacks!

The thing I like about it is that you can select which of your blogging platforms you want to send the post to - one, some or all.

Facebook seems to have largely turned into a close friends and family thing for me - they all seem to have been joining up. For some reason many of them are quite happy to use that but not regular email etc.

Some of the things I post there I would like to add on Twitter, but not necessarily all of them. This app allows that. And as said it does look like it can be wrangled into use for posting to EE too, which may be useful.
