    Greetings,

I am currently looking at the setup screen on the install process and have entered my webmaster email and databases of such in the this manner:

    (cpanel server)

    user_domainName
    user_domainUser
    password

I am currently receiving the following errors when submitting my information:

ERROR: The following Errors were encountered

      1. The email address you submitted is not valid
      2. Unable to connect to your database server.
      3. Unable to select the database

Please correct the errors and resubmit the form

Any suggestions or help on this would be great.  I suppose this is the only place to get support as I didn’t find a ticket system. 😊

    Thank you all.

Ok - I got the database working but the email address is still coming up as not accurate though I have even tried to use the one on my account. :(

Make sure it’s in the correct field- that happens pretty frequently with email and the install.  That help?

Ok - let the stupidity kick in.  The first email field was correct but the email field when setting up the admin - wasn’t.  Infact - I went through the form so fast - I thought that field was a “verify password” field. HA!  Thanks guys! (and gals)

You know, if it were only you, it’d be the user’s fault… Since your are not the only person (far from it), I call it a usability issue 😊 Almost certainly won’t get fixed before EE2, though.

Hee- yea, this one has occurred more than once.  Fortunately- it’s an easy fix.
