    Hi all,

I just started using the Wiki module, and I was a little confused about the permissions.  I set “User groups” to be the groups I want to be able to view it, but it’s still viewable to everyone—how can I restrict viewing to just certain groups?  Also, I’m setting up namespaces, and I’d like to be able to control view permissions for those as well, is this possible?

    Thanks,
    Kyle

From my understanding under default config, the wiki is open to anonymous via EE.  Users designate someone who can modify the wiki and then of course Admin have speicial priv’s like delete, lock, rename, etc.

See the article: http://expressionengine.com/wiki/Wiki_Talk_or_Discussion_Pages/ article.  I think this in conjunction with the logged_in and/or logged_in_group_id conditional might get what you want.

I’m needing to make a public/private section, but I don’t want to seperate the wiki’s as I want logged in users to search a against a single wiki to get all results.  I’ll give this a go and post if I have luck.

You can use permissions on the template containing {exp:wiki}.
