I am sure there are alot of us that use EE to build sites for customers. What I would like to know is what troubles or questions you run into when you first begin passing off a project to your customer. Particularly related to the back end system and using it.

Do they find it hard? Or easy? How do you go about explaining it to them?

Particularly my customers want to; edit their pages, make new menus, and re-organise things. Through EE would they be able to do this easily? Or would they need my help?

    Thank you!

As EE doesn’t work on a page by page basis as such it’s not so easy to create menus unless you set them up that way. By that I mean if EE created menus by running off url_titles or categories then the client could add to their menu but creating whole new sections usually isn’t possible.

Editing pages is the easiest thing but again they can’t just pull in anything unless you define it in the template.

Lastly all my documentation is video driven (yay for EE 2.0!) so they can see how to do things and what effect it will have the site.

Interesting. How many did you have to make?
