Hello, i’m back. It’s been a while, but I bring good news.
The TinyCIMM project lives!
Thanks to Liam for contacting me and inspiring me to complete this project.
It has been over a year since i first posted this thread, and I had completely pushed this project aside, but in the last couple of weeks I have been able to get it on track again!
It’s still early stages, I will post a full thread explaining everything once Liam and I are happy to release a major version, and it’s very likely we will, so hang in there, not long now.

Amazing timing syntax error. I started replacing Spaw with TinyMCE in PyroCMS last night and was wondering what to do about image/media manager.
Hopefully this will be easy to integrate.
Either way, good job!
Update: Looking at the code it will be very easy to integrate. Will just make a tinycimm module and jobs done.

Thanks for the reply Phil.
It’s pretty straightforward to integrate 😊
Have a look at the installation page:
http://code.google.com/p/tinycimm/wiki/Installation
One of the last things I need to do to make it even easier to integrate is to remove the re-write dependancy.
Liam and I still need to do some extensive testing before we can release the package, but feel free to browse the repository. Also, it’s just the image manager at this stage, I still need to make minor adjustments so it can handle all file types, (for the filemanager and mediamanager browsers).

Great. Well i’ll get on with integrating TinyMCE and put this plugin in a branch for testing. Thanks again, I’ll be keeping an eye on this one.

Hi There
I have done some updates and thought it was about time to post up a demo of the image manager. You can view the demo here: http://demo.tinycimm.badsyntax.co.uk
I’d like to know what you think .. I haven’t fully cross browser tested it, so there may be a few errors. Please let me know and i will fix em.. you can also post errors in the issue tracker.
I’m close to starting the media and file manager. 😉

really nice try and nice job but tinybrowser is really working fine with CI and i already implemented in one of my project.

Thank you for the reply umefarooq
Agreed, I wish I came across tinybrowser way back when i originally created tinycimm. (Which was quite a bit of time before tinybrowser was created.) It’s only recently come to my attention :(
Glad to know you’ve had success with tinybrowser. I see my plugin as being easier to integrate into your CI application as it’s written using the CI framework.
peace

I am currently translating PyroCMS to french and I’ve notice many hard-coded text in views.
Have you panned to store all texts in seprarate files ? And if you have, is it possible to store them in a unique folder ?
Oops ! not in the good thread ! Sorry… MODO PLEASE DELETE !
