How do I get rid of this "index.php/site" before my pages or directories?

OK, one last time, and then let’s get on with it.

So to make someone feel small just because they cannot find the answer is not what EE would want represented here.

1.) I am representing myself here, as a member of this great community, and nobody else, least of all EllisLab.
2.) It was certainly not my intention to make anybody “feel small”. Re-reading my original post, I fail to see how it could be construed that way. Regardless, I apologize if you came away with this impression.

So in my eyes it’s it is of low character to attack someone who might ask an easy question in the eyes of an experienced user.

Nobody was attacked. Just a little hint that searching for the answer would have been much quicker than waiting for it, and that’s ignoring the rest of this thread.

I appreciate the help I really do.

I am prepared to accept that at face value, it’s just that it did not necessarily come across that way. Regardless, feeling that everything has been said, this is my last post in this thread.

It is also in the User Guide.

Points have been made on both sides and I want to thank everyone involved for working out the personal issues in a respectful manner.

@ventistudios - One thing you could do to get a better response is give a detailed example of what you are trying to accomplish based on your actual site and reference what you have already looked for. The amount of time you spend crafting your question reflects the amount of time people will be prepared to give when helping. If you post a single line that is inevitably an involved issue you are likely to get short, less helpful responses. If your initial post shows that you have investigated the issue and are looking for further direction, your responses will likely reflect that as well.
