    Hi EE people.
    I´m excited with the new major upgrades of EE 2.0
    We will can install it in a Microsoft SQL Server?
    BEcause i have it a bigger project envolving EE / Code Igniter in this platafform and we need data integration with a internet.

    No plans have been announced. Currently only MySQL is supported.

    :(  but EE 2.0 dont will be build under CI ? Well, CI can be more flexible about this, so, teorically, EE 2.0 too…

    This its a interesting point about EE future, because have it many bigger enterprises qith adopted SQL Server like your standard data database.

    In this moment, i’m at this crossroad, because i know with i can do it all featured requests with EE, but the client wanna the work only in the SQL database… :(

    I was thinking in to develop the site structure and doing all the necessary design/applicaton tests and when EE 2.0 will be released, when SQL data support, do it a data migration.

    So, i think with i need to think in another tool to do it this…

    There are no plans to make 2.0 work with databases other than MySQL.  As a long-term goal, we are looking at this, and CodeIgniter’s database abstraction will give us the tools to explore this option, but 2.0 will still require MySQL.
