I just installed EE 1.6.2, commercial edition. All I want to do is take the “about” text on the standard template, and put it into a GUI-editable thingy, and then do lots more things like that.

I assumed that Pages was what I wanted, but it seems that Pages is really about individual stand-alone pages, not “chunks of content” the way it is on MovableType.

What do I want to do? I’ve found nothing in the user guide or wiki, and all the related forum posts are pre-1.6 and pre-Pages. Can I embed a page into a template somehow?
