    Since my email and domain use the EngineHosting servers I would like control over them, yes they provide phpMyAdmin. One other is no bandwidth usage stats or free webspace. I don’t want anything like Cpanel or Plesk but maybe something like DirectAdmin is enough.

    Yeah, some of the lack of controls can be a pain.  I use Google for domains for all my email though.  Don’t they give access to Webalizer or something like that?

    When the GS first came out there were a lot of problems and I stopped using it.  I think they have done a lot of work on it, but I don’t know.  These days I turn to Dreamhost for simple shard hosting.  Easy, cheap, and excellent customer service.  If you need something more than what DH can give, you should probably be looking at a dedicated solution anyway.

    I am currently using the MT (dv) 3.0 for some projects, and am happy with the overall level of service.  I also upgraded one to 3.5 and it is pretty nice.  I may give the GS another shot, but probably not.

    @adamp1:

    Gandi blogged that the price will be 10 euro per share after the beta. Beta has been 2 months + now. You get another month at beta price after the beta is officially closed.

    That sounds pretty good. I don’t like setting up my own server but with the AI thing it sounds real simple. And if you need more you just buy more shares, which is a great idea. I think I will see how EngineHosting goes but the Gandi thing if its good performance and good support might have a new customer in a fee months

    That Gandi place sounds like a steal, I like the idea of shares, you can work your way up to an entire server it looks like. I would of looked at it a little further but after checking my ping to their page and seeing 250+ I changed my mind 😊 I think I’m a little to far away to make that worth it, live in on the west coast of the United States.

    I would like to say, I just switched over to (mt) (dv) hosting and it’s a world’s difference better than GoDaddy’s support. The switch took 15 minutes and I had my sites back up and running in an hour after DNS changes. This was after GoDaddy repeatedly kept screwing up my VDS setup and my sites were down for a few DAYS. They didn’t seem to care.

    (mt) has responded to my questions quickly and all your support tickets are logged in your admin section. Pretty neat. So far, no problems. I would recommend them for (dv) hosting. The minimum is $50/month (there are discount coupons floating around also, btw).
