n00b here! So my first attempts at EE and wondering if anyone knows of some very cool 2.0 style templates for EE. The templates here are to 80’s but hey they are free right. Anyone with suggestions? Thanks!

The reason you won’t find many “premade” EE templates is because it’s not a generic blog system, though you could but a premade template and use the graphics etc in your design.
Expression Engine doesn’t make you conform to any one design style/layout (ie a blog), instead it allow you total freedom with design, layout and content to build your site your way. Because every site has different needs, audiences, content and structure it’s virtually impossible to create generic a “one size fits all” template set, like Wordpress for instance.
If all you need is a simple blog template for posts and categories nearly any premade template can be easily adapted!
