Nah not really. As soon as I had written that I thought “Have I really got nothing better to do than this?!” 😉 😊 😉

Really though, EllisLab peeps, if you were to sell that swag at an online store, I would buy one of each.

Now if only you had some experience selling stuff on the InterWebs… 😉

Dang! I wish I could go to SXSW! I really want one!

I smell a random drawing for some t-shirts for everyone who replies to this thread? 😉

Sweeeeeet!!!!! Please put them in the store… My original Firefox shirt needs to be thrown out and my girlfriend will only allow one web shirt in the collection at one time 😊

Now which one? Developer or designer 😊

One 1m80 tall billboard space for sale. In a modern and growing urban setting. Gets noticed in both the more and the less popular nightlife scenes (in terms of snobishness). Well behaved, decent morals, allround niceguy to promote your fantastic product (bit of flattery might sell.. hehe).

Kost: 2 {exp:designer} T (so when one is in the wash, the other gets to shine)

On a more serious note: Ellislab, could you pretty please, with sugar on top, put those shirts up for sale somewhere? If not to make a quick buck recoup the cost of production, then at least to keep your community happy? I’d kill for a “developer” one. Well, not really, but at least I am desperate.

Hey everyone… we’re actively working on developing a system that will allow us to sell t-shirts.

The biggest issue for us is product fulfillment—putting shirts into packages and mailing them.  Our entire business model is virtual, with no human required to fulfill software purchases.  To sell t-shirts means we need to develop a means to invoice people, print labels, manage inventory, offer shipping options, put shirts into boxes, mail them, and deal with refunds and exchanges—and have a physical location where all this can happen.  We also need a human on staff to do this—but it can’t be an existing staff member since everyone is already quite busy.

So it isn’t that we don’t want to meet people’s desire for swag, it’s that selling shirts means a fundamental change in how we do business.  And given the fact that margins on shirts are quite low, from a financial standpoint it’s not going to benefit us much.

That said, it’s something we’re actively working on because we do realize people want shirts, so hopefully we’ll have all the issues resolved soon.

    Hi Rick,

    What about one of these?

    Cafe Press

    Spreadshirt

Pretty sure you can just upload what designs you need and then they do all the hard work?

Although saying that did you get loads printed already then and so you need to get rid of those first?

If you’re looking for a new member of staff then I’m pretty good at licking stamps although they would have the Queens head on them instead 😉

Just a thought though maybe for the future?

    Best wishes,

    Mark
