What I would like to do is display the current entry or maybe even 3 on the main page of my website that is built with regular HTML, or PHP. I am in the design stage so I can go either way. Is there a way to do this and what would be the easiest way to implement.

I would use a little PHP and the magpie library to do this. Pull in and parse a feed for the blog using magpie and display.
