    Hello Everyone,

I embedded a blog onto the homepage of my site but I don’t want the entire content to show on the homepage. Is there a way where I can limit the content and have a Read more link to that page and the rest of the content will be there? This is my site http://kevinkashou.com You can see the recent news on that page then on the recent news page has the same content on both.

    Thanks,

There are a number of plugins you can use- EE comes with a character limit and word limit plugin installed- go to ‘Admin- Utilities- Plugin Manager’ to take a look.  Plus- skim the Plugins library- Word limit plus and truncate html are some more advanced options.

Or- you can just have a ‘summary’ field you show for summaries- and a body field shown on the single entry page.

    There is variety!

    Robin,

Thank you for sending me the Plugins Library. I am for sure going to learn a lot now. As for the amount of content display I use the word limit plus. What I noticed was that there is a gap between the content the link that I made to go to the entry page. How can I fix that? and One more thing when i linked it, it is going the entry page but not the page that the information is on. What would be easier to create a link to go back to the recent news page or can I just link to the recent news page where the entry is on with a bunch of other entries?

    Thanks,
