I know I’ve seen someone post how to do this in the past, but it’s been a couple of years and I don’t trust my SQL skills to doing it myself.

What I’m looking for is a SQL query that will take all comments left by a specific email address and assign them to a user’s profile. One of the bloggers I host wasn’t logging into her blog to post comments so all of hers are user ID 0 and then she was wondering why her avatar wasn’t showing up.

So I just need a quick bit of code to update the ID on all those comments to point to her profile.

Associating Members with Comments.  This is done by username, but should give you a good start.

As for where I’ve been, well, the past couple of years have been rough in the Jenkins household with me being laid off twice in as many years. We’re slowly getting back on our feet, but I’m not earning anywhere near what I used to so I’m still looking for new jobs and that’s been keeping me busy. I’m still lurking around here, though. You guys are so good at answering most questions that by the time I see them I’ve got nothing to add. 😊
